Latvian chemical manufacturer and fertilizer producer JSC Spodrība launches new high-performance fertilizer line VITO FARM, developed in collaboration with industry professionals

Riga, 09.09.2025 – Latvian chemical products manufacturer JSC Spodrība has unveiled a new, innovative fertilizer product line for farmers – VITO FARM – designed for both cereal and vegetable crops, specifically tailored to the soil and climate conditions of the Baltic region. The product will be available across Latvia starting autumn 2025 and will soon be introduced in Lithuania and Estonia.

An investment of EUR 20,000 was made in the product development.
VITO FARM N-S Active is a complex liquid fertilizer providing readily available nitrogen in both amide and ammonium forms, as well as sulfur. It is intended for foliar application during intensive growth phases – preventing nitrogen deficiency, improving crop quality, and strengthening plants under stress. A balanced nitrogen-to-sulfur ratio enhances nutrient uptake from the soil and ensures gradual efficacy.

VITO FARM AGRO BorMo is a concentrated foliar fertilizer with easily absorbable boron and molybdenum. These elements play a crucial role in plant metabolic processes – promoting flower formation, pollen fertility, fruit firmness, and water transpiration. The concentrate is recommended for boron-demanding crops such as rapeseed, beans, peas, cabbage, and vegetables.

VITO FARM pH Regulator – for balancing water pH. This product optimizes the pH of irrigation water, improves the effectiveness of foliar fertilizers, and enhances nutrient absorption in plants.

“These products were developed in close cooperation with Latvian farmers and scientists, and tested under local climate conditions. Our goal was to create a fertilizer that delivers maximum return from the very first season – with a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and real added value for producers,”
said Ramona Kalniņa, CEO of JSC Spodrība.

The development process of the new product took over 12 months and included field trials in collaboration with the “Pēterlauki” Training and Research Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food Technology at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies. Initial results show up to a 40% increase in yield compared to traditional solutions, as well as improved soil structure.

VITO FARM is produced in a facility certified according to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) standards. The products are available in 20L cans and 1-ton containers, with custom formulations available for larger farms.
